8th May 2019. Wednesday

Greetings Gardenistas and other people.

Well, what a miserable day all round. Drizzle all day and then the wind picked up and it went even colder. Felt more like March than May. What a delightful country we live in. I’m not being ironic, I mean it. It wouldn’t be green and pleasant without a little rain now and then. If only it would rain at night then everyone would be happy, especially me. I remember back in 2012 it started to rain at the beginning of June and didn’t stop till the new year. 40 days I was rained off and when I wasn’t I got wet at some point during the day. There was only me and LJ working then so you can imagine what the van smelt like, wet dog, wet grass and misery.

Anyway, on a lighter note. It’s time to start trimming any non flowering shrubs such as euonymus and any hedging, as long as there are no native birds nesting. If you do you’ll get your collar felt! Gardens look better when they are neat and tidy.

Once I have figured out how to upload pictures I will start having an image of the day. I have loads to share and some are quite good, he says with pride

Let’s hope that Tottingham Hotspur can beat that Ajax. Wasn’t he a star of superstars in the seventies? Oh! No that was B Jacks. Then if Chelsea and the Gooners can win, what a great year for England. Then if England win that tournament. Stop dreaming Jellyboy it gets you no where.

That’s all for today. Keep forking

Jellyboy
